Our client is based in the Melbourne's western suburbs. They are an established and growing multidisciplinary team consisting of Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists and Dietitians.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will have a strong interest in working with children with ASD and/or developmental difficulties, who require mental health assistance.
This role will suit an Occupational Therapist with a warm approachable personality in working with children whilst being responsive to their needs, and have an understanding of the pressures on families dealing with children with additional needs. The practice provides assessment and intervention for children, many of whom have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or a developmental delay.
Collaborate with a strong team of health professionals and liaise with schools, families and education centres.
This is a part-time position. Immediate start required with an existing caseload of 2 days per week, 10am - 6pm (or one day per week plus Saturday).

- Postgraduate qualifications in Occupational Therapy, with minimum 2 years experience.
- Registration with APHRA.
- Member of Occupational Therapy Australia.
- Experience delivering OT assessments to consumers with mental health concerns.
- Extensive knowledge of current evidence-based practice in mental health.
- Knowledge of the NDIS sector and mental health reforms.
- Relevant service delivery experience particularly in a recovery-oriented community mental health setting.
- Highly organised and reliable
- Strong communication skills
- A collaborative approach to team work
- Friendly and empathetic personality
- Access to own car and driver's license.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current Police Check.
- Eligible to work permanently in Australia
